Sea Buckthorn (Hippophae rhamnoides) is a small orange berry that grows in cold, high-altitude regions and is also commonly known as Leh Berry in India. Nutriorg Sea Buckthorn Juice is made from Himalayan Sea Buckthorn berries. The fruit is naturally known for containing vitamins, antioxidants and fatty acids, including Omega-7.
Nutriorg Sea Buckthorn Juice is 99.98% pure Sea Buckthorn pulp concentrate. This means the product is formulated predominantly from Sea Buckthorn fruit pulp concentrate; the current PDP also states that it contains no added fillers or preservatives.
Sea Buckthorn naturally contains palmitoleic acid, an Omega-7 fatty acid that is relatively uncommon in plant sources. Scientific reviews show that Sea Buckthorn fruit, and particularly its pulp oil, can contain Omega-7 alongside Omega-3, Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids. Nutriorg describes its Sea Buckthorn Juice as a natural source of Omegas 3, 6, 7 and 9.
The main difference is the format. Nutriorg Sea Buckthorn Juice is a 99.98% Sea Buckthorn pulp concentrate in liquid form, while Nutriorg Sea Buckthorn Capsules contain 500 mg of Sea Buckthorn Berry extract per capsule and come in a bottle of 60 capsules. The juice suits people who prefer a fruit-based liquid format, while the capsules provide a convenient option for those who prefer not to measure or drink the juice.
Sea Buckthorn berries naturally have a sharp, tart and sour taste. Nutriorg's Sea Buckthorn guidance describes the juice as sour and recommends diluting it before consumption; it also offers capsules as an alternative for people who don't enjoy the juice's taste. Research on Sea Buckthorn juice has also identified naturally occurring organic acids that contribute to its acidity.
If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking regular medication—particularly blood-thinning medication—speak with your doctor before adding Sea Buckthorn Juice to your routine. Sea Buckthorn Juice should be treated as a food/wellness product and not as a replacement for prescribed medicines or medical treatment. Nutriorg's own Sea Buckthorn guidance gives similar precautions for pregnancy, breastfeeding and blood-thinning medication.
